LIVING BY FAITH

Scripture Reading:

2 Corinthians 4:16 – 5:10

Focus Verse:

“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.”  2 Corinthians 4:16

The Bible tells us, “Don’t fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine.” Isaiah 43:1.  But at a time like this that is easier said than done.  During a crisis like this many people are plagued by many questions.  What will the future be like?  How will life change?  What is in our future?  This is a natural reaction.

While it may not seem like it at times, God understands.  That is why throughout the Bible he reminds us not to fear because he is always with us.  Experience tells us that after a crisis like this life will change.  The world will be a very different place from what it was when we started.  But we need not fear the future or the changes that will take place, for God promises to be with us always no matter what the future holds in store.

By holding on to the promises of God we can rest assured that our future is secure.  While life on earth may fall apart, the life waiting for us with God is guaranteed.  The only thing that is necessary is that we trust and believe.

Prayer: Dear gracious heavenly father, we thank you for standing beside us in this time of crisis and uncertainty.  Please, remain with us and help us to see that our future is always secure with you.  Calm our fears and anxiety and allow us to go about our lives with confidence that you will always be here for us.  Amen.
